LYSAGHT BONDEK® is a highly efficient, versatile and robust formwork, reinforcement and ceiling system for concrete slabs. It is a profile steel sheeting widely accepted by the building and construction industry to offer efficiency and speed of construction.

Specification
LYSAGHT BONDEK® profiled steel sheeting is roll-formed from hot dipped, zinc-coated, hi-tensile, steel strip, in base metal thicknesses (BMT) of 0.60, 0.75, 0.90 and 1.0mm. The steel strip conforms to AS1397 grade G550, Z350.
0.9mm thickness is available for projects by special order.
Pre-painted BRITEWITE® soffit is also available on enquiry.

FAQs
How far can LYSAGHT BONDEK® span as formwork?
By span we take the distance between centres of supports. There are 3 major considerations when establishing span distance:
1. What slab thickness is being used?
2. What gauge of LYSAGHT BONDEK® is being used?
3. Is the underside of the slab going to be visible or not?

Can LYSAGHT BONDEK® be fire-rated?
As a composite slab, LYSAGHT BONDEK® can be fire-rated up to 4 hours, without the use of a fire spray on the underside of the sheeting.
What type of building applications can LYSAGHT BONDEK® be used in?
LYSAGHT BONDEK® can be used as formwork and as a reinforcement in composite slabs. It can be used in a wide range of building construction including steel, concrete and masonry framing system with a minimum ground clearance of 450mm. It is typically designed as a one-way slab.
